Some speed tips
There are plenty of things you can do to improve your speed with this method. First, if you learn PLL, you will see a great improvement right away, since in many cases you will be left with the corners solved. Then with just one algorithm you can solve the rest of the cube.
Another improvement is to learn COLL. COLL means Corners Orientation Last Layer, and it's a set of algorithms to solve all corners in the last layer in one algorithm. In the method described above we are using two algorithms, so this saves another step. The full COLL method consists of 40 algorithms, but since we have the edges already solved, we only need to learn 13. Yes, I know it's still a lot, but it will help you later on when you perhaps learn Fridrich or any other method as well.
